What is Cosmelan® depigmentation treatment?
Cosmelan® is a professional depigmentation treatment designed to reduce the appearance of pigmentation and uneven skin tone, including melasma, sunspots, and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. How does Cosmelan® work?
Cosmelan involves the application of a professional-strength mask (Cosmelan 1) applied in-clinic, followed by a prescribed at-home skincare regime (Cosmelan 2). The treatment works by inhibiting tyrosinase, an enzyme involved in melanin production, to gradually reduce existing pigmentation and help prevent new pigmentation from forming.

What is the downtime/recovery

How often should Cosmelan® be done?
Cosmelan is typically performed as a single in-clinic treatment, followed by a 12-week at-home maintenance protocol. Results are progressive and can continue to improve over several weeks.
